Configuring Share Options

Different events, different needs. A corporate gala might want QR codes and email sharing, while a birthday party might just need printing. ALIVE lets you customize which sharing options are available on the share screen.



Available Share Options


  • Print — Print photos on the spot
  • QR Code — Guests scan a QR code to access their gallery online
  • SMS — Send a gallery link via text message
  • Email — Send a gallery link via email
  • Singles/Networking — Show a QR code for the Singles or Networking matchmaking feature


You can enable or disable each one independently.



How to Configure


Global Defaults (iPad Settings)


  1. Go to Settings on the iPad
  2. Find the Sharing section
  3. Toggle each option on or off


These become the default for all events.


Per-Event Overrides (Web Dashboard)


You can also set different share options for each event using the web dashboard:


  1. Go to the web dashboard and open your event
  2. Navigate to the Remote Setup tab
  3. Find the Sharing section
  4. Toggle individual options on or off for this specific event


Per-event settings override your global defaults — so you can have QR + Print for a corporate event and QR + SMS + Email for a wedding, without changing your global settings.




How It Affects the Guest Experience


Only the enabled options will appear on the share screen after a guest takes their photos. If you disable everything except Print, that's all they'll see.


Fewer options = faster guest flow. If your client doesn't need SMS or email, turn them off. Guests will spend less time on the share screen and the line moves faster.
