SMS Sharing — Setup & Customization

SMS sharing lets guests receive their gallery link via text message. It's a reliable delivery method — and a great way to collect phone numbers for your clients.

Setting Up SMS Sharing

1. Go to Settings → SMS Sharing
2. Enable SMS sharing
3. Customize your Message Template
4. Save

That's it — ALIVE handles the sending. Nothing to configure on the backend.

How It Works for Guests

1. Guest taps SMS on the share screen
2. A phone number input appears
3. Guest enters their phone number
4. ALIVE sends an SMS with a link to their gallery
5. Guest taps the link to view and download photos

Phone numbers are automatically converted to the correct international format — guests can enter in any format.

Customizing Your Message Template

The default message works fine, but customizing it adds a personal touch.

How to Customize

1. Go to Settings → SMS Sharing
2. Find the Message Template section
3. Edit the template text
4. Use tokens to insert dynamic content
5. Save

Tips

• Always include {{url}} — Without the link, the SMS is useless
• Keep it short — SMS has character limits. Get to the point.
• Test before the event — Send yourself a test SMS to make sure everything works
• Don't use too many emojis — Some carriers handle them differently
