Email Sharing — Setup & Customization

Email sharing sends guests a link to their photo gallery via email. It's professional, reliable, and doubles as a lead collection tool.

Setting Up Email Sharing

  1. Go to SettingsEmail Sharing
  2. Enable email sharing
  3. Customize your Email Subject and Email Body templates
  4. Save

ALIVE handles the sending — nothing to configure on the backend.

How It Works for Guests

  1. Guest taps Email on the share screen
  2. An email input field appears
  3. Guest enters their email address
  4. ALIVE sends an email with a link to their gallery
  5. Guest opens the email and taps the link to view their photos

The email includes a preview of their photos and a button to view the full gallery.

Customizing Your Email Templates

How to Customize

  1. Go to SettingsEmail Sharing
  2. Configure your sender details and templates
  3. Use tokens to insert dynamic content
  4. Save

Tips

  • Set a custom From Name — "Your Company Name" looks more professional than a generic sender
  • Add a Reply-To address — If guests reply, you'll get the message at your email
  • Always include {{url}} — The gallery link is the whole point
  • Keep the subject short — Email subjects get truncated on mobile after ~40 characters
  • Use a clear call-to-action — "View your photos" or "Download here" makes it obvious what to click
  • Test on mobile — Most guests will open the email on their phone
  • Check spam folders — If test emails land in spam, contact support@alive-pic.com for help

Email templates apply globally. If you want event-specific messaging, update the template before each event.
