Event Branding Overlay
Want to show your client's logo or a custom graphic when the booth is idle? The event branding overlay displays your branding media on screen after a period of inactivity — a subtle but professional touch that keeps the booth looking polished between guests.
What Is the Branding Overlay?
When no one is using the booth, the screen shows your screen saver (Default, Media, or Mirror mode). The branding overlay is an additional layer that appears on top of the screen saver after a set idle period.
This is perfect for:
- Displaying the client's logo or event branding
- Showing a "Step up and take a photo!" call-to-action
- Promoting your photobooth business between sessions
How to Set It Up
- Go to Settings
- Find the Event Branding section
- Upload your branding media (image or video)
- Set the idle timeout — how many seconds of inactivity before the overlay appears (default: 15 seconds)

Supported Media
- Images — PNG, JPG
- Video — MP4, MOV
How It Works During an Event
- Guest finishes their session and walks away
- The screen returns to the screen saver
- After the idle timeout (e.g., 15 seconds), the branding overlay fades in
- When the next guest taps the screen, the overlay disappears and the camera activates
How It's Different from the Screen Saver
- Screen saver — The base content shown when the booth is idle (Default, Media, or Mirror)
- Branding overlay — An additional layer that fades in on top of the screen saver after extra idle time
They work together: the screen saver activates first, then the branding overlay appears on top after more time passes.
When to Use Both
- Screen saver only — Sufficient for most events
- Screen saver + branding overlay — For premium events where you want layered branding (e.g., gallery slideshow with a client logo overlay)
Tips
- Keep it clean — A logo in the corner or a simple call-to-action works better than a cluttered design
- Match the event — Use the client's colors and branding for a custom feel
- Adjust the timeout — At busy events, set a longer timeout so the overlay doesn't flash between every guest
