Configuring AI Effect Behavior

These settings control how AI effects work for your guests — how many photos get transformed, whether effects apply automatically, and how many tries guests get.

Max AI Photos per Session

When a guest takes multiple photos, this setting determines how many of them get the AI treatment.

  • Default: 1
  • What it means: Only the first photo gets the AI effect. The rest stay as originals.

How to Configure

  1. Go to the Effects tab
  2. Find Max AI Photos Count
  3. Adjust the value
  4. Save

How It Works

Say a guest takes 4 photos with the Anime effect selected:

  • Max AI Photos = 1 → Photo 1 becomes Anime, Photos 2–4 stay original
  • Max AI Photos = 2 → Photos 1–2 become Anime, Photos 3–4 stay original
  • Max AI Photos = 4 → All 4 photos become Anime

Why Limit This?

  • Cost savings — Each photo processed costs credits. Processing 1 vs 4 is a 4x cost difference
  • Speed — Fewer photos = faster results
  • Artistic choice — A mix of AI-styled and original photos can look great in a template

1 photo is usually enough. It creates a nice contrast in multi-photo templates: one stylized hero shot + natural photos.

Auto-Apply AI Effect

Controls whether the AI effect applies automatically on the share screen or waits for the guest to press a button.

Auto-Apply ON (Automatic)

After the photo is taken, the AI effect applies immediately — no extra tap. The guest sees the transformed result appear automatically.

Auto-Apply OFF (Manual)

The guest sees their original photo first and must press a button to generate the AI effect. This gives them a moment to review before using credits.

  • Default: Off (manual mode)

How to Configure

  1. Go to the Effects tab
  2. Find Auto-Apply AI
  3. Toggle it on or off

Which Should You Choose?

Scenario

Recommended

Unattended booth, single effect

Auto-apply ON

High-volume event, fast turnover

Auto-apply ON

Multiple effects, guest choice matters

Auto-apply OFF

Cost-conscious, want to avoid wasted credits

Auto-apply OFF

Guests may want to retake photos

Auto-apply OFF

Auto-apply ON is perfect for hands-off setups. Auto-apply OFF is better when you want to save credits or give guests more control.

Max AI Tries per Session

Coming Soon — This feature is not yet available. Currently, each guest gets 1 AI effect application per session (fixed).

Once this launches, you'll be able to set a custom limit per event:

  • 1 try — Guests pick one effect and move on (fastest flow)
  • 3–5 tries — Guests can experiment with a few options
  • Unlimited — Let guests try every effect (best for smaller events)

Why Limit Tries?

  • Cost control — Every application uses credits
  • Faster guest flow — Fewer tries = faster decisions
  • Line management — At busy events, you don't want one guest spending 5 minutes trying everything

Tips

  • Budget accordingly — If you set Max AI Photos to 4 and your template has 4 slots, credit costs per session quadruple
  • Match your template — If your template has one large featured photo slot, that's the one that gets the effect
  • Test both auto-apply modes — Try each at an event and see which your guests prefer
  • Brief your attendant — If running manual mode, have your operator encourage guests to tap the generate button

These settings work together. Think of it as: how many photos get the effect (Max Photos), whether it happens automatically (Auto-Apply), and how many times a guest can try (Max Tries — coming soon).
