Client Database

Your client database is the central hub for everyone you work with. Instead of scattered spreadsheets and sticky notes, ALIVE keeps all your client information organized and connected to their events, bookings, and proposals.

Accessing the Client Database

  1. Navigate to Clients from the sidebar in your web dashboard
  2. The Clients tab is selected by default
  3. You'll see all your clients listed as cards with their key details

The page also includes tabs for Bookings, Calendar, Team, and Contacts — all accessible from the same screen.

Client Profiles

Each client card displays:

  • Name — The client's full name
  • Email — Contact email address
  • Phone — Phone number
  • Company — Their business or organization name
  • Tags — Custom labels for organizing (e.g., "wedding", "corporate", "VIP")
  • Notes — Free-form notes about the client
  • Client type — Automatically derived based on booking history

Click on any client card to edit their information or view their full profile.

Creating a Client

  1. Click the + New Client button at the top of the Clients tab
  2. Fill in the required field: Name
  3. Optionally add: Email, Phone, Company, Notes, and Tags
  4. Click Create

You can also create clients on the fly when building a proposal or creating a booking — you don't have to set them up separately first.

Tags and Filtering

Tags are a powerful way to organize your clients. You can assign multiple tags to any client (e.g., "wedding", "repeat", "premium") and then filter your client list by those tags.

  • Click the tag filter button to see all available tags
  • Select one or more tags to filter the list
  • Use the search bar to find clients by name

Tags are fully customizable — type any tag name when creating or editing a client, and it becomes available for future use.

Client Types

ALIVE automatically categorizes clients based on their booking history:

  • Clients with upcoming bookings are flagged differently from those with only past events
  • This helps you quickly identify who's active and who might be due for a follow-up

Editing and Managing Clients

To edit a client, click on their card from the list. From the edit modal you can:

  • Update any of their contact details
  • Add or remove tags
  • Edit notes — great for tracking preferences, special requests, or communication history
  • View their connection to bookings
