Setting Up a Singles or Networking Event

Getting Singles or Networking up and running is quick and easy. Here's how to enable it and configure it for your event.

Enabling Singles / Networking

  1. Open the ALIVE app or go to the web dashboard
  2. Create a new event or edit an existing one
  3. Find the Singles toggle in the event settings
  4. Turn it on
  5. Choose your mode:
  • Singles — Matchmaking for social events (pink/rose theme)
  • Networking — Professional connections for corporate events (blue/cyan theme)
  1. Save your event

That's it — the social feature is now active for this event.

Configuration Options

Once enabled, you can fine-tune how it works for your event:

  • Mode — Singles (matchmaking) or Networking (professional connections)
  • Event name — This shows up when guests join the experience
  • Event branding — Your template and design carry through to the pages

How Guests Join

When Singles is enabled, guests at the booth will be able to join the Singles experience after taking their photos:

  1. Guest takes their photos at the booth
  2. They scan a QR code that takes them to the Singles page on their phone
  3. They create a quick profile with their name and booth photo
  4. They're in — ready to browse and swipe

Before the Event

A few things to set up ahead of time:

  • Test it — Run through the flow yourself before the event starts. Take a photo, create a profile, and make sure everything works.
  • Brief the host — Let the event organizer know about the Singles feature so they can promote it to guests
  • Mention it at the booth — A small sign or verbal prompt ("Want to join Singles? Scan the QR code!") goes a long way

Tips

  • Match the mode to the event — Use Singles mode for social/dating events and Networking mode for corporate/professional events. The right mode makes all the difference.
  • Combine with other features — Singles + AI effects + printing = an unforgettable booth experience
  • Promote it early — The more guests who join, the more fun it is for everyone
  • Networking mode is a corporate upsell — Event planners at conferences and corporate mixers will pay extra for a feature that helps attendees connect

The magic of Singles & Networking is that it gives guests a reason to come back to the booth — and to stay engaged with the event longer. More interaction, more fun, more value for your client.
