Branded Share URLs

Turn generic share links into your own branded domain. Instead of photobooth.alive-pic.com/gallery/..., your guests see yourbrand.alive.pics/gallery/... — every QR code, SMS, email, and gallery link uses your brand name.

What Are Branded Share URLs?

When you set an account slug in your web dashboard, ALIVE automatically rewrites every public-facing share URL to use your slug as a subdomain of alive.pics:

https://yourbrand.alive.pics/gallery/<eventId>

The branding is applied account-wide — set it once and it shows up everywhere guests interact with your shared content.

Where Branded URLs Appear

Once your slug is set, it's used automatically by:

  • Gallery QR codes — The QR shown on the booth and in the gallery page
  • Singles join links — The QR guests scan to join a Singles experience
  • SMS share modal — Every text message link sent from the booth
  • Email share modal — Every email share link sent from the booth
  • Download page — The "Download the ALIVE app" link shared with guests
  • Business website link — The link surfaced from your account profile
  • Session and gallery item links — Links to individual sessions from the Sessions list and session detail modal

Anywhere ALIVE hands a link to a guest, the branded domain is used.

Setting Your Slug

Your slug is set in the web dashboard account settings:

  1. Open photobooth.alive-pic.com and sign in
  2. Go to Settings (top-right account menu)
  3. Find the Account slug field
  4. Enter the slug you want — use lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only (e.g. sunsetbooth, theboothcompany)
  5. Save

From that moment on, every share URL generated by the app and the dashboard uses your slug. There's nothing to configure per event — the booth picks up the change the next time it syncs.

Choose your slug carefully. It becomes part of every link you ever hand to a client, so treat it like a domain name. Short, brandable, and memorable wins.

Fallback Behavior

If you haven't set a slug yet, ALIVE falls back to the default domain:

https://photobooth.alive-pic.com/...

Everything still works — guests get the same gallery, the same Singles experience, the same downloads. They just see the generic domain instead of your brand.

The fallback is also what keeps old links alive. Any QR code, text, or email you sent before setting a slug will keep working — links pointing to the default domain stay valid.

Setting or changing your slug does not break existing links. The default photobooth.alive-pic.com domain always resolves, so any QR code on a printed card, any SMS already sent, and any email already delivered will continue to open the correct gallery.

New share links generated after you save the slug will use the branded subdomain immediately.

Tips

  • Pick your slug before your first big event — Printed cards, signage, and past shares all benefit from being on-brand from day one.
  • Keep it short — Slugs are read aloud, typed on phones, and printed on cards. Shorter is better.
  • Lowercase only — Subdomains are case-insensitive but your brand looks cleaner in lowercase.
  • Don't reuse someone else's brand name — Slugs are globally unique per account, and trademark disputes aren't fun.
  • Test it — After saving, generate a share QR from the booth or dashboard and confirm the URL starts with https://yourbrand.alive.pics/.
