System Requirements

Before you dive in, let's make sure your setup is ready to roll. ALIVE Photobooth currently runs on iOS — with Android and PC support on the way.

Supported Devices

  • OS: iOS 14.5 or later
  • Storage: At least 500MB free space (more is better — photos and videos add up fast)
  • Camera: Built-in front or rear camera
  • Network: Wi-Fi connection required for cloud features, AI effects, and sharing

iPhone

  • ALIVE works on iPhone too, though iPad is recommended for the larger screen — your guests will thank you.

Required Permissions

When you first launch ALIVE, you'll be asked to grant a few permissions. Here's what they do and why we need them:

Permission

Why We Need It

Camera

To capture photos and videos (obviously!)

Microphone

For video recording with the ALIVE Effect

Photo Library

To save captured media to your device

Local Network

To discover and connect to printers on your network

All permissions can be managed later in your iPad's Settings app under ALIVE Photobooth.

Internet Connection

ALIVE needs an active internet connection for:

  • AI effect processing
  • Cloud gallery uploads
  • SMS and email sharing
  • Account and subscription management
  • Receiving push notifications

Offline mode is limited. Photo capture and local printing work without internet, but AI effects, sharing, and cloud features require a connection.

What About Android and PC?

We hear you! Android and PC support are coming soon. Stay tuned for updates.

For now, if you need to print from a PC, check out the ALIVE Magic Print app — it connects to your photobooth and handles printing from your Windows computer.
