Setting Max Photos for AI Effects

When a guest takes multiple photos in a session, how many of those photos should the AI effect be applied to? This setting lets you control that.

What It Does

The Max AI Photos Count setting determines how many photos in a multi-photo session will be transformed by the selected AI effect.

  • Default: 1
  • What it means: Only the first photo gets the AI treatment. The rest stay as originals.

How to Configure

  1. Go to the Effects tab
  2. Find the Max AI Photos Count setting
  3. Adjust the value
  4. Save

How It Works

Let's say a guest takes 4 photos and applies the Anime effect:

  • Max AI Photos = 1 → Photo 1 becomes Anime, Photos 2–4 stay original
  • Max AI Photos = 2 → Photos 1–2 become Anime, Photos 3–4 stay original
  • Max AI Photos = 4 → All 4 photos become Anime

Why Limit This?

  • Cost savings — Each photo processed costs credits. Processing 1 photo vs 4 is a 4x cost difference
  • Speed — Processing fewer photos means faster results for the guest
  • Artistic choice — Sometimes a mix of AI-styled and original photos looks great in a template

Tips

  • 1 photo is usually enough — It creates a nice contrast in multi-photo templates: one stylized hero shot + natural photos
  • Match your template — If your template has a single large featured slot, that's the one that gets the effect
  • Budget accordingly — If you set this to 4 and your template has 4 slots, credit costs per session quadruple

This setting works in combination with Max AI Tries. Max AI Tries is currently fixed at 1, meaning each guest gets one attempt per session. Configurable Max AI Tries is coming soon.
