How QR Code Gallery Sharing Works

QR code sharing is the easiest and most popular way for guests to get their photos. No typing, no forms — just scan and go.

How It Works

  1. Guest taps the QR Code button on the share screen
  2. A QR code appears on the iPad screen
  3. Guest opens their phone camera and scans the code
  4. Their phone opens a browser link to the online gallery
  5. Guest can view, download, and share their photos from the gallery

The gallery link contains the guest's photos from their session — both the original captures and any AI-effected versions. Guests can:

  • View all their photos
  • Download individual photos or all of them
  • Share directly from their phone to social media

Auto-Open QR

Want the QR code to pop up automatically when guests reach the share screen? Enable Auto-Open QR in your settings.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find Auto-Open QR
  3. Toggle it on

When enabled, the QR code appears immediately — no need for guests to tap anything. This speeds up the flow significantly.

Why QR Codes Work So Well

  • No friction — Guests don't need to type their email or phone number
  • Instant — Scan and you're there
  • Universal — Every smartphone can scan QR codes
  • No setup required — QR sharing works out of the box with no third-party services

Tips

  • Make sure the QR code is big enough — It should be easily scannable from a comfortable distance
  • Good lighting helps — A bright screen in a dark venue can glare. Adjust screen brightness if needed.
  • Tell guests what to do — A small sign saying "Scan to get your photos!" helps at unattended booths
  • Internet is required — Both the booth (to upload) and the guest's phone (to access the gallery) need internet

QR sharing is the recommended default for all events. It's fast, requires no setup, and guests are used to scanning QR codes for everything these days.
