Device Name and Identification

Running multiple iPads? Naming your devices helps you keep track of which is which.



What Is Device Name?


Each iPad running ALIVE gets a device name — a friendly label you assign to identify it. This is purely for your organization.



How to Set It


  1. Go to SettingsAccount
  2. Find Device Name
  3. Enter a descriptive name
  4. Save



Naming Suggestions


  • "iPad Pro - Booth 1" — When you have multiple booths
  • "Main Booth" — For your primary setup
  • "Backup iPad" — For your spare device
  • "Mini iPad - Roaming" — For a portable, walk-around setup



Device ID


Each device also has a unique Device ID assigned automatically. This is used for:


  • Multi-device licensing (seat management)
  • Technical support and troubleshooting
  • Device registration


You can view your Device ID in account settings but you can't change it.


If you contact ALIVE support, having your Device ID ready speeds up troubleshooting.
