AI Video Effects
AI Video Effects take AI-powered transformations to the next level — instead of a single stylized image, you get a short, animated video of your guests' photos brought to life with motion, transitions, and cinematic effects.
What Are AI Video Effects?
While standard AI effects transform a photo into a new artistic style (like Anime or Pop Art), AI Video Effects go further by generating a short video clip from the guest's photo. The AI adds motion, animation, and visual storytelling to create a shareable video moment.
Think of it as turning a still photo into a mini movie — a few seconds of animated magic that guests will want to share everywhere.
How They'll Work
- Guest takes their photos at the booth
- On the share screen, guest selects an AI Video Effect
- The photo is sent to our AI video processing service
- A short animated video is generated and returned
- Guest can preview, download, and share the video
The processing time for video effects is slightly longer than photo effects, since the AI is generating multiple frames of animation rather than a single image.
Video Effects vs Photo Effects
| Photo Effects | Video Effects |
|---|---|---|
Output | Single stylized image | Short animated video |
Processing time | A few seconds | Slightly longer |
Credit cost | 15 credits (~$0.15) | 50 credits (~$0.50) |
Sharing | Photo sharing (QR, SMS, email) | Video download and sharing |
Use case | Quick artistic transformations | Premium "wow" moments |
Credit Pricing
AI Video Effects use the same pay-as-you-go credit system as photo effects, but at a higher rate due to the additional processing power required:
- Photo effect: 15 credits per image (~$0.15)
- Video effect: 50 credits per video (~$0.50)
Credits are deducted at the time of processing. See AI Credits — Pay-As-You-Go Pricing for more on how credits work.
Why Offer Video Effects?
- Premium add-on — Video effects are a higher-value offering you can charge more for at events
- Social media gold — Short videos get more engagement than static photos on Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
- Differentiation — Very few photo booths offer AI-generated video content. This puts you ahead of the competition.
- Guest excitement — The "wow factor" of seeing your photo come to life as a video is hard to beat
Tips for Planning
- Budget for higher credit usage — At 50 credits per video vs 15 for photos, video effects cost roughly 3x more. Factor this into your event pricing.
- Offer as a premium tier — Consider offering photo effects to all guests and video effects as a VIP or premium experience
- Top up credits generously — If you plan to offer video effects at an event, make sure your credit balance can handle the demand
