Setting Up SMS Sharing
SMS sharing lets guests receive their gallery link via text message. It's a reliable delivery method — and a great way to collect phone numbers for your clients.
How It Works
SMS sharing is powered by ALIVE's server — there's nothing to configure on the backend. Just enable it and customize your settings.
Setting Up SMS Sharing in ALIVE
- Go to Settings → SMS Sharing
- Enable SMS sharing
- Customize your Message Template — the text that guests receive (you can include your name and the gallery link inside the message)
- Save

How It Works for Guests
- Guest taps SMS on the share screen
- A phone number input appears
- Guest enters their phone number
- ALIVE sends an SMS with a link to their gallery
- Guest taps the link on their phone to view and download photos
Phone Number Format
Guests can enter their phone number in any format — the system will automatically convert it to the correct international format for delivery.
Tips
- Test before the event — Send yourself a test SMS to make sure everything is working
- Customize your message — A personalized message template makes a better impression than a generic one
- Keep it short — SMS messages have character limits, so keep your template concise
