Enabling / Disabling Printing
Printing is a global setting in ALIVE — it applies to your booth overall, not to individual events. You can toggle it on or off before each event as needed. Turn it on when you have a printer connected, off when you don't.
How to Toggle
- Go to Settings
- Find the Printing section
- Toggle Printing Enabled on or off
- Save

What Happens When Printing Is Enabled?
- The Print button appears on the share screen
- Guests can tap it to print their photos
- Auto-print kicks in (if configured)
- ALIVE looks for connected print servers on the network
What Happens When Printing Is Disabled?
- The Print button is hidden from the share screen
- No print jobs are sent
- Guests can still share via QR, SMS, email, or native share
When to Disable Printing
- No printer at the event — Don't confuse guests with a button that doesn't do anything
- Digital-only events — When the client only wants digital sharing
- Printer issues — If your printer is acting up mid-event, disable printing rather than letting guests queue broken jobs
