Registering a Device
When you sign into ALIVE on a new iPad, the device is registered to your account automatically. Here's what that means and what to know.
What Is Device Registration?
Device registration links your iPad to your ALIVE account. It enables:
- Seat management — The device uses one of your licensed seats
- Device tracking — You can see which devices are on your account
- Settings sync — Your events, templates, and preferences sync to the device
How It Works
- Install ALIVE on your iPad
- Sign in with your account
- The device is automatically registered
- It appears in your account's device list
That's it. No manual registration steps needed.
Viewing Registered Devices
- Go to Settings → Account
- View your Device ID and Device Name
To see all devices on your account, check the web dashboard at photobooth.alive-pic.com/dashboard.
Removing a Device
If you sell an iPad, replace it, or stop using it, remove the device from your account to free up the seat:
- Go to the web dashboard at photobooth.alive-pic.com/dashboard
- Navigate to Device Management
- Find the device you want to remove
- Click Remove to unlink it from your account
- The seat is freed up and available for a new device
This stops billing for that seat at the next renewal.
Tips
- Name your devices — It helps when managing multiple iPads
- Keep track of seats — Each registered device uses a seat. Make sure you're not paying for devices you no longer use.
