# Contacts & Data Collection

Every time a guest shares their photo via SMS or email, ALIVE collects their contact info. The dashboard gives you a clean view of all that data — and lets you export it.

---

## Where to Find Contacts

1. Go to **Dashboard** → **Clients** → **Contacts** tab
2. See all collected contacts from your events

Each contact entry includes:

* **Contact type** — Phone number (SMS) or email address
* **Contact value** — The actual phone number or email
* **Event** — Which event the contact came from
* **Date** — When the contact was collected

---

## How Contacts Are Collected

Contacts are gathered automatically whenever a guest uses SMS or email sharing at the booth:

1. Guest takes their photo
2. On the share screen, they enter their phone number or email
3. ALIVE sends them their photos and saves the contact info
4. The contact appears in your dashboard

No extra setup needed — it happens automatically as part of the sharing flow.

## Exporting Contact Data

Need to share contact data with a client or import it into your marketing tools?

* Export contacts from the dashboard
* Filter by event to get contacts for a specific booking
* Use the data for follow-up marketing, client reports, or mailing lists

---

## Why It Matters

Contact collection is one of the most valuable parts of running a photo booth:

* **Client reporting** — Show your clients how many guests engaged with the booth
* **Lead generation** — Guests who shared their photos are warm leads for future events
* **Follow-up marketing** — Send thank-you messages, event recaps, or promotions
* **Proof of value** — Numbers speak louder than words. "We collected 250 contacts at your event" is a powerful stat.

---

## Tips

* **Mention it to clients** — Many event planners don't realize photo booths can collect guest data. This is a huge selling point.
* **Enable SMS and email sharing** — The more sharing options you offer, the more contacts you collect
* **Export after every event** — Send the contact data to your client as part of your post-event report

| Contact collection turns your photo booth from a fun activity into a marketing machine. Make sure your clients know about it — it can be the deciding factor in winning a booking.
