# Managing and Deleting Gallery Items

Over time, your gallery fills up with photos from dozens of events. Here's how to keep it organized and clean.

---

## Viewing Gallery Items

* Open an event and tap **Gallery** to browse all media from that event
* Filter by **event** to see photos from a specific occasion
* Tap any item to view it full-screen

---

## Deleting Items

### From the App

To delete individual photos:

1. Open the photo in full-screen view
2. Tap the **Delete** button
3. Confirm the deletion

To delete multiple items:

1. Enter **selection mode**
2. Select the items you want to delete
3. Tap **Delete Selected**
4. Confirm

### From the Web Dashboard

You can also delete gallery items directly from the web dashboard:

1. Go to **Dashboard** → **Events** → select your event → **Gallery** tab
2. To delete a single item: click on the image and click the **Delete** button
3. To delete multiple items: select the items you want to remove, then click **Delete Selected**
4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

The dashboard supports bulk deletion — you can select all items or pick specific ones, then delete them in a single action. This is especially useful for cleaning up large events without needing the app.

## What Happens When You Delete?

* The item is removed from your gallery
* Cloud storage is freed up
* Gallery links that included the deleted item may no longer work

||| Deletion is permanent. There's no trash or undo. Make sure you've downloaded anything you want to keep before deleting.

---

## When to Clean Up

* **After delivering to clients** — Once you've sent the client their photos, you can clean up
* **Periodically** — Old events from months ago can usually be removed
* **Running low on storage** — If your cloud storage is filling up

---

## Tips

* **Download before deleting** — Always save what you need first
* **Don't rush** — Keep event galleries for at least a week after the event in case guests need to access their links
* **Check with clients** — Some clients want access to the gallery for weeks or months. Don't delete too early.

| A clean gallery is a fast gallery. Removing old events keeps things organized and makes it easier to find what you need.
