# Creating Your Account

To use ALIVE Photobooth, you'll need an account. It takes less than a minute — and no, we won't spam you.

---

## Best Way: Purchase on the Website

The easiest way to get started is through our website:

1. Go to **[alive-pic.com](https://www.alive-pic.com)**
2. Choose your plan (Basic or Pro) and billing cycle
3. Complete the purchase
4. You'll receive an **email with all the instructions** — including how to download the app, sign in, and set up your first event

This is the recommended path because everything is ready for you from the moment you open the app.

---

## Alternative: Sign Up from the App

You can also create your account directly in the app:

1. Download the ALIVE app from the App Store
2. On the welcome screen, tap **Sign Up**
3. Enter your **email address** and choose a **password**
4. Tap **Create Account**
5. **Register a device** — this is required in order to take photos and access the full feature set

|| Registering a device is a key step. Without it, you won't be able to capture photos or use features like AI effects, printing, and sharing. You'll be prompted to purchase a license during device registration.

---

## Signing In on Another Device

Already have an account? Just open the app on your new device, tap **Sign In**, and enter your credentials. Your events, templates, and settings will sync from the cloud.

|| If you're adding a new device to your account, you may need an additional **device seat** depending on your plan. Check out [Multi-Device Licensing](/en/article/multi-device-licensing-seats-ubeicm) for details.

---

## Forgot Your Password?

It happens to the best of us.

1. On the sign-in screen, tap **Forgot Password**
2. Enter the email address associated with your account
3. Check your inbox for a password reset link
4. Follow the link and set a new password
5. Sign back in with your new password
