## Building Your Template Step by Step

### 1. Set the Background

Start with the background — it sets the foundation for your design.

* Choose a solid color, or
* Upload a background image

### 2. Add Photo Slots

Add the photo slots where guest photos will appear.

* Decide how many photos per session
* Position and size each slot
* Choose rectangle or circle shapes

### 3. Add Text

Layer in text elements for event info, branding, or fun messages.

* Event title and date
* Your business name or logo text
* Hashtags or taglines

### 4. Add Images and Graphics

Drop in logos, borders, and decorative elements.

### 5. Arrange Layers

Make sure everything is in the right order — background at the bottom, photos in the middle, text and branding on top.

### 6. Preview and Save

Preview your template with sample photos to see how it looks in action. Save when you're happy.

## Design Best Practices

* **Start with the photo slots** — They're the most important element. Build everything else around them.
* **Use a consistent color palette** — 2–3 colors max for a clean look
* **Leave breathing room** — White space (or any empty space) makes designs look more professional
* **Think about the guest** — The photo should be the hero. Everything else supports it.

## Save and Use

Once saved, your custom template appears alongside built-in templates when selecting a template for an event. You can use it across multiple events.
